Data Deletion Policy — Tribal Hearts
Operator: Gariba IT Services Private Limited ("we", "us"). Last updated: 29 September 2026.
You can delete your Tribal Hearts account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains exactly what happens when you do: what is deleted, when, and the few things we have to keep and why.
If you simply want to delete your account: open the app, go to Settings → Security and devices, and under Close account tap Delete my account. You confirm twice — once in a dialog, then by typing the word DELETE (or हटाएँ).
1. Pause or delete
Pause (Deactivate)
- Under Settings → Security and devices → Close account, tap Deactivate account.
- Your profile is hidden from everyone straight away: it no longer appears in matches, search, likes or statuses.
- You are signed out on every device.
- There is no time limit. Your account stays paused until you sign in again, and signing in brings it back as it was.
- Pausing deletes nothing.
Delete
- Under Settings → Security and devices → Close account, tap Delete my account and confirm twice.
- Your profile is hidden from everyone at once, you are signed out on every device, and notifications to your phone stop.
- For the next 30 days you can change your mind: signing in again, in any of the ways you normally sign in, cancels the deletion and brings your profile back as it was.
- After 30 days your account is deleted as described below. This normally happens within a day of the 30 days ending; if a step cannot finish, it is tried again every day until it does. Once it has started, it cannot be undone.
2. What gets deleted
| Your data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Profile | Every profile detail is erased: name, date of birth, community, family, education, work, location, "about me" and partner preferences. |
| Photos and videos | Your profile photos, intro video and status photos and videos are deleted from our storage. |
| Photos and voice notes you sent in chats | Deleted from our storage. The other person sees that they are no longer available. |
| Messages you wrote | The words stay in the other person's chat, under the name "Deleted member", so their side of the conversation still makes sense. The chat becomes read-only: nobody can send messages to a deleted account. Your chat with the in-app guide is deleted completely. |
| Stickers | Your stickers, and the couple stickers you are part of, are deleted. |
| Verification | Any identity documents still held, and your verification results and badges, are deleted. |
| Likes, interests, matches, saves, views, blocks | Deleted — the ones you made and the ones others made on your profile. |
| Statuses and reactions | Your statuses, highlights, reactions, poll votes and answers are deleted. |
| Sign-in details | Your email address, mobile number, linked Google or Apple sign-in and every signed-in device are deleted. You can later open a new account with the same email or number. |
| Notifications and settings | Your notifications, the notifications other members received about you, the registration of your phones for notifications, and your app settings are deleted. |
| Support tickets and feedback | Deleted. |
| Plan benefits, boosts, streaks, referral code | Deleted. Premium does not carry over to a new account. |
3. What we keep, and why
| Record | Why, and for how long |
|---|---|
| Payment records | Indian tax and company law require us to keep records of payments for 8 years: the order number, the plan bought, the amount, the tax and the date. After deletion they are linked only to a closed-account reference, never to your name, email or mobile number. |
| Safety reports | Reports you made and reports made about you are kept as a safety record, without your name, email or number. What a report was about is copied into the report before your account is deleted. A picture kept as evidence is held for one year and then deleted. |
| Security log | A record of actions on the account (for example sign-ins and this deletion), with names, email addresses and numbers removed. |
| Backups | Our database backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted, so a deleted account is gone from them within 30 days. |
| Crash reports | Crash reports from the app, which never contain your chats, expire after 90 days. |
| Emails to our support address | Kept for up to 3 years as a record of what was asked and answered, then deleted. |
| Records required by law | Anything covered by a valid government or court order. |
4. If you have Premium
- When your account is deleted we stop your Google Play subscription from renewing. The current period is not refunded (see the Refund Policy).
- If you want it to stop sooner, cancel it yourself in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.
- Google keeps its own record of the purchase under Google's privacy policy.
5. Deleting your account without the app
If you cannot use the app:
- Email admin@garibaitservices.com from the email address on your account, with "Account deletion" in the subject.
- Include the mobile number on your account so we can find it and confirm the request is really yours.
We reply within 24 hours. Once we have confirmed it is you, the same process starts: your profile is hidden at once, and your account is deleted 30 days later unless you sign in again before then.
6. A copy of your data
Before deleting, you can ask for a copy of your data — your profile details, your messages, your photos and voice notes, and your payment history. Write to admin@garibaitservices.com with the subject "Data export". We send it through a secure download link within 30 days. Ask before the 30-day window ends: once your account is deleted there is nothing left to send.
